望君煙水闊，
揮手淚霑巾。
飛鳥沒何處，
青山空向人。
長江一帆遠，
落日五湖春。
誰見汀洲上，
相思愁白蘋。

I watch you in that misty expanse of water,
And wave you tearfully on your way.
Where will the bird in flight come down to earth?
Dark green mountains face us impassively.
Your single sail on the Yangzi is already far off;
At sunset over the five lakes spring is in the air.
Who is there to see, on islands in the river,
The white frogbit flowers, sad tokens of distant friends?
